Match report The U11s lost a second game in a row in another high scoring game vs Finchampstead. Finch won the toss and batted and initally we have them under real pressure with the score at 36 for 3 after 8 overs. However, some good batting and some wayward bowling allowed Finch to recover to 144 for 5 with 2 batsmen retiring not out. Tyler Lawson and Alfie Hall were the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets each and Hasan Shazzad got the other wicket. We then got off to a fast start with our score at 8 overs being 59 for 5 wickets. Sayf batted brilliantly finishing on 31 not out after come back in following his retirement. Alfie Hall got 20 runs to keep the innings going but another hat trick in the 6th over and a 2 wicket in 2 balls in the 17th over cost us and our run rate in the second half of the innings slowed too uch for us to keep up with the run rate. Oliver Neal also batted well at number 9 scoring 8 runs before being run out in the 19th over when we were chasing the target. Time for us to bounce back in our next game vs Slough.
