Match report Boyne Hill continued their good form with a comprehensive win at Bagshot to go top of division 2B with Andley Adams and Saj Hussain once again amongst the wickets.

Following rain Saturday morning, Bagshot finally removed their plastic cover 20 minutes before the game started, discovering the cover had leaked on a length. On an otherwise dry and used wicket this made the toss choice less simple but Boyne Hill chose to bat anyway looking for maximum points to keep the pressure on Chesham.

Of the top order only Tom Mellor(21) made a start as the accurate Matt Pettet reduced Hill to 50-4. Sahan Wijesekera(30) and Sulaiman Javed then got stuck in to rebuild the innings before Wijesekera was out to a ball which popped.Saj Hussain(19) and Javed then put on 54 before Hussain was adjudged LBW. 17 year old Javed continued on his way to a first half century for the club timing the ball nicely through the covers and picking up a couple of 6's off his legs before finally falling for 66. Harneet Minhas batted well for 38 not out guiding Hill past 200 to gain maximum batting points. Hill were eventually bowled out for a competitive 213. Pettet was the pick of the bowlers with 4-70 from 20 overs.

Bagshots reply never got going as Mikey Davis showed little appetite to try and survive Andley Adams first over and duly had his stumps rearranged. Adams continued to cause problems swinging and seaming the old ball whilst exploiting the generally low bounce on offer. At the other end the ever reliable Hussain caused problems with his off cutters and Bagshot were soon reduced to 32-7. Jack Sutherland hit a few clean boundaries to score 22 not out but Bagshot were eventually bowled out for just 67 with Adams taking 4-9 and Hussain 4-29.

With Chesham winning but only gettting 20 points Hill move above them by a point with 5 games to go and this week are at home to Kidmore End.
