Match report Boyne Hill continued their impressive start to the season with an 85 run win over Bagshot on Saturday.

Losing the toss Hill were soon struggling at 16-2 as Bagshot exploited the early moisture in the pitch. Muji Fernando and Sajid Hussain then built a fine century partnership scoring at a good rate all around the ground. Hussain was trapped LBW for 39 and a couple more quick wickets soon made it 117-5. Fernando stood firm adding 40 with Harneet Minhas before both fell in quick succession. Fernando eventually caught for a very attractive 80. At 163-7 from just 35 overs the game was very much in the balance but after surviving an early chance Chris Burnett played a very responsible innings of 36 with good support from Andley Adams and Adam Bailes. Hill closed on a very competitive 232-9 from their 52 overs.

In reply Adams made early inroads with the new ball before Bagshot skipper Chris Hollely began to look threatening. He was brilliantly caught on the 3rd man boundary by Wasim Maharoof and from then on it was an uphill struggle for Bagshot. Jeremy Davis and Berridge briefly picked up the rate before Burnett took a skier at extra cover from the 1st ball of Adams 2nd spell. Hussain(3-56) and Adams then ripped through the tail to dismiss Bagshot for 147 with the South African finishing with fine figures of 7-24.

Boyne Hill took 25 points and move up to 2nd in division 2B where they face a tricky game at Kidmore End this week.
