Match report Boyne Hill 2nd XI continued there excellent start to the season with another 25 point victory leaving them 10 points clear at the top of division 6a with 95 points from a possible 100.

Boyne Hill won the toss and elected to bat, and despite the early losses of Chris Burnett and Manish Chaudhary, Kesavan Bhuvaneswaram and Chris Goode set about building a competitive score. When Kesavan was out LBW for 42, Goode was joined at the crease by Richie O'Reilly who took to the Stoke Green attack with a quick fire 36 before attempting one too many big hits and being bowled, Goode then quickly followed when thanks to a speculative caught and bowled.

Wayne Stewart and Paul Farnborough were then given the task of getting the hill to a respectable total, and despite some early nerves shown by Farnborough, they both carried their bats to get Boyne Hill to 251 from 49 overs.

Boyne Hill elected to take the old ball, and when Stoke Green raced to 33 from 3 overs, it may have appeared to be a mistake. However the introduction of Owen Roberts changed this and after he claimed his first wicket, with the help of Qas Butt, Stoke Green collapsed from 60 without loss to 68 for 8, with Roberts and Butt taking 4 a piece. Jonny Webb was then introduced to clean up the tail, which he did with great effect.
