Crowd Funding Update

21 Sep 2020

Thank you to everyone who has already very generously pledged support and made a Crowd Funding donation to BHCC.  The initial response has been fantastic and the Club is extremely grateful for the support many of our members and supporters have already made.  Total donations pledged stands at £4,175 as of late last week which is fantastic.

Our target is £10,000 so we are almost half way there. There is still time to pledge your support if you have not done so yet, so if you are able to, please do so, even if only a few pounds... it all adds up.

To help make donations even easier, we now have a dedicated Crowd Funding website.  Simply visit and follow the instructions.
Note: The total amount pledged on the Crowd Funding website does not yet include all the donations made directly to the club or the Sport England top up.

A quick reminder why we are doing this...

This year, revenue has been hit hard due to Corona virus, with lost income due to the shortened season and limited bar and function room hire opportunities.  Despite this, the Club has remained financially stable through pertinent action undertaken by the Treasurer.  However, cash reserves remain under pressure from fixed monthly overheads and groundsman's costs.  Unfortunately, we have had to cancel this years annual fireworks night (our single biggest fund raising event) and function room hire opportunities will remain limited during the winter months.  This will subsequently lead to a significant hole in next years cricketing (adults and colts) spending budgets.
To help overcome this shortfall, we are exploring other ways of raising funds.  Such as this Crowd Funding scheme which we sincerely hope all players, members and friends of the Club are able to support.  As an added bonus, Sport England will top up the final total by 50%, so the more donations pledged will mean a greater top up from Sport England.

Thank you everyone for your ongoing support.  Please do share this with you personal network through your preferred social media forums as it will help us to reach our target.
